Electronic mail is one of the most widely used methods of communication. Over the years, it's use has become pervasive. However, capabilities such as the ability to reply to e-mails of any nature and size in an instant by more than one person and to many people, have made usability of received email a challenge. Often there is duplicated content which wastes storage space unnecessarily. The advent of mobile devices has also made it undesirable for direct interaction with some of the huge files associated with email and its content. In order to effectively use received email it is crucial for one to be able to see only the pertinent emails and reduce the amount of emails containing duplicate content.

Analytics are utilized to troll through the body of the email as well as available previous emails, including searching local drives and find exact match duplicates of information, attachments, files and identify any changes that may have been made. A dashboard would then present the user with choices to reference without merging, to reference and merge, delete duplicate content, to update with newly added information, or synthesize a master document.

Increasing the usability of email by merging the related content into one master email and yet retaining certain characteristics for search and filing purposes would result in less storage space being used.
