Abstract

The present invention relates to a precipitator structure design. Two or more layers of functional blocks are stacked vertically. Each functional block works as an independent precipitator. The precipitator structure design utilizes a fact that performance of each precipitator block is sensitive to a diameter of a tank and not to height of the tank. The crystallization zones of two functional sections of the precipitator are hydraulically communicated with each other. Clarification zones of the precipitator are separated from each other. Subsequently, supernatant water is withdrawn from both clarification zones of the precipitator.
