Disclosed is a method and system for displaying one or more results of a complex business process in a computerized plant control and display system. The complex business process is managed in a single software package of the computerized plant control and display system.

Fig. 1 is an illustration of the method and system disclosed herein.

In accordance with Fig. 1, the method and system manages one or more plant business processes in an external software system. Thereafter, the method and system displays the one or more results of the one or more plant business processes. The following are examples of one or more applications managing the one or more plant business processes.


• In Maximo* Nuclear Clearances application, the method and system provides the one or more results for the one or more business processes in a form readily available for an interface.


• In an integration object for the computerized plant control and display system, the method and system utilizes an operational history object, which

assembles information from at least one of a clearance, a duty station, and a line ups application. The operational history object structure is made available in the Maximo Integration Framework, and thus is available for integration with other software systems.


• A Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) enterprise bus such as Websphere MQ**, ultimately tying into a secure plant data bus and plant computer

provides read-only information to a secure layer in the computerized plant control and display system.


• Associating unique graphics in a human machine interface: The method and system displays the one or more results to represent an output of the business process software. For example, an X placed over a component can represent closed and an O placed over the component can represent an open. Thus, the method and system combines appropriate text with graphics for unambiguous communications such as being tagged as closed to accompany the X and being tagged as open to accompany the O.
