Disclosed is a method and system for controlling display of content on multiple devices based on display dimensions of the corresponding devices. For example, a user can view content such as, but not limited to, a message, a post and a social media site simultaneously on a mobile phone, a tablet device and a television.

The method and system enables the user to define one of the multiple devices as a master device to control the display of content on the multiple devices. For example, the user can set a mobile phone as a master device for controlling the display on a connected tablet device and television. The method and system also enables the user to define how the content is to be displayed on the other devices.

Accordingly, the user can link display of a one of a content portion and a content type with a corresponding device. For example, the user can link display of photo albums with a television. In addition, the method and system enables the user to navigate through content individually in different devices without affecting the display of content of other devices.
