Large amount of the traffic accidents are caused by the pileups, which is caused by the back vehicle does not aware of the front vehicle' s intention, like stopping or just slowing down, changing the lane or turning right/left. Although those accidents can be avoided by the good driving habits, however, not every driver has such good habits as always. With this invention on the vehicles, it will help on notifying the driver to perform corresponding actions when it detects something that might lead to accident.

This invention uses GPS to detect the accelerated velocity changes, uses accelerometer and gyroscope sensor to detect whether the intension of the direction changes, and then notify the vehicles nearby by Bluetooth (which also uses the invention). Basically, it will build the interactions between the vehicles that drive on the road.

By using of this invention, it will help the driver to perform the correct actions timely before running to accident.

The device can be installed w/ any portable devices, like smart phones, as most of the smart phone provided the sensors that required by this intention

            Taking the smart phone as an example, the graph below showed how it will be installed in the vehicle, basically on the steering wheel:

The data can be send/receive there are variety way to broadcast the data, typically via the Bluetooth, and the Power Class One is able to have the distance of 100 meters, which will be enough for the driving, with auto-paring enabled. If need longer distance, it can leverage the 3G/4G network to broadcast and receive the data, and in that case, the receiver will receive the data nearby, by means of location based publishing and subscribing.

This invention is consisting of 4 key parts:

1. Detecting the vehicle direction change

2. Detecting the vehicle accelerated velocity changes
3. Broadcast to changes to the vehicle nearby

4. Receive the data and notify the user

As for the #1, it will use gyroscope sensor & accelerometer to detect the motion of the steering wheel.
