Method for determining building occupancy threats using cellular identities and historical law enforcement data

Disclosed is a method for determining building occupancy threats using cellular identities and historical law enforcement data. The unique identifier of a cell phone can be read and cross referenced against a list of persons. The person linked to the cell phone identity can then be used in the query of a criminal database, and if necessary, the officer is alerted that caution is advised. To increase officer safety and situational awareness, cell phone identities are input into a criminal database search. The system notifies the officer if additional caution should be used when approaching vehicles or buildings.

Often a police officer approaches a building and does not know who, or how many occupants are in the structure. A police officer very much wants to know if a building they are about to enter is know to contain violent or dangerous individuals. To do so, the officer must submit a query using the location address of the building being

CopLink is able to use person identification and location addresses to query criminal history databases. If the results of the query indicate a person who is known to be violent or dangerous, a caution flag in displayed to the investigating officer using the existing means.
