Patrick Jonte: INVENTOR

Abstract

When using a combination showerhead/hand product like the Intuitions it is often desirable to switch between the hand spray and showerhead spray when the handspray is detached from the showerhead. Currently this must be acomplished by manually switching the spray mode selector lever up by the showerhead. Thus making it inconvienient for the bather to quickly and easily select the desire spay mode while holding the sprayer. This is especially true for short or older indiividules. What is needed is a simple and convienient way to select the desire spray outlet from the handshower when it is detached from the showerhead.

What is needed is a simple and convienient way to select the desire spray outlet from the handshower when it is detached  from the showerhead.

22.  * How does your invention achieve its purpose?: By placing a pressure operated diverter [similar in operation to the diverter used in kitchen sidespray faucets]  into the showerhead to switch the flow from the showerhead to the the handshower using a maintained position selector located on the hand shower handle.  Thus one can easitly and convieniently  remotely switch between the two spray outlets.  Even though I''ve never seen this arrangement in a commercial product used  in a showerhead I doubt the concept could be broadly patented in light of the current diverter used in the kitchen side spray products.  However the mechanial aspects and how its integrate...
