Abstract

The present invention generally relates to maternal, fetal and infant care and more particularly to decision support for maternal, fetal, infant care and their integration. The proposed technique encodes all electronic medical records (EMR) parameters into a facial expression such that the happier and younger the face looks, more reassuring are the maternal or fetal or infant vital signs and the history of their health issues, and vice versa.

DECISION SUPPORT FOR MATERNAL, FETAL, INFANT CARE AND THEIR INTEGRATION

FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention generally relates to maternal, fetal and infant care and more particularly to decision support for maternal, fetal, infant care and their integration.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

In general, electronic medical records (EMR) for maternal or fetal or infant care are a large set of vital signs combined with a history of health issues of mother, fetus and/or infant. However, there exist a problem to present all this information in a friendly and concise form so that the clinician makes a right decision concerning maternal or fetal or infant well being taking into account both the maternal or fetal or infant vital signs and history of their health issues. However, there is no adequate technique to solve the problems.

Therefore, there is a need in the art for a technique to present all the information in a way so that the clinician makes a right decision concerning well-being of the patients.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention generally relates to maternal, fetal and infant care and more particularly to decision support for maternal, fetal, infant care and their integration.

The proposed technique encodes all electronic medical records (EMR) parameters into a facial expression such that the happier and younger the face looks, more reassuring are the maternal or fetal or infant vital signs and the history of their health issues, and vice versa.

For maternal fetal care (MFC), every medical history and vital signs of mother and fetus are encoded in an expression of a human face. In conventional fetal vital signs, fetal heart rate (FHR) baseline have a shape of left concha, which means that status of the FHR baseline is encoded in a shape of the left concha. FHR declarations have a shape of right concha. FHR variability has a size of right ear. Uterine activity (UA) has a size of left ear. Computerized fetal analytics that is decision recommended by computer concerning fetal wellbeing have a shape of lips.

In conventional maternal vital signs, temperature has number of teardrops under left eye. Pulses have number of bags under left eye, which are pouches under left eye. Oxygen saturation (SPO2) has number of bags under right eye. Non-invasive blood pressure (NiBP) has a shape of left eye. Respiration rate (RR) has a shape of right eye.

For history of fetal health issues, in case of previous pregnancies, number of wrinkles appears on left side o...
