Abstract

Disclosed is a method and system for automatically transmitting alerts to a user in social network by detecting proximate social circle user. The proximity of the social circle user is identified based on a predefined setting provided by the user. The system also identifies proximity of devices using same social network ID for proactively transmitting and responding to alerts.

System and Method for Automatically Transmitting Alerts to Social Network Users in a Proximate Distance

Description

Disclosed is a method and system for automatically transmitting alerts to a social network user by detecting proximate distance of social circle users approaching or leaving proximity of the user.  The system enables the social network user to login into social network account through any portable data communication device which may include but not limited to mobile device, tablet, hand-watch and the like for proactively transmitting and responding to alerts.

In an exemplary embodiment, social network user registered with a social network ID can communicate with any social circle user at a proximate distance and with other proximate devices using the same social network user ID.  Prior to establishing a communication, the social network user initially provides predefined settings to each user device for transmitting alerts between a plurality of proximate devices using the same social network ID, a plurality of proximate users using different social network ID and the user device with a precise location.  The predefined settings may include but not limited to a distance of five meters, ten meters, 100 meters and the like.  Thus, on satisfying the predefined settings provided for each user device in the social network, an alert is transmitted by the system to the other respective device.

FIG. 1 illustrates an exemplary scenario of transmitting alerts between a plurality of devices using a same social network ID.

FIG. 1

As shown in FIG.1, a user logged into plurality of devices using same social network ID detects whether all the devices are in a precise proximity.  If any one of the device is not found to be in the precise proximity, an alert is initiated to other devices in the precise proximity.  For example, if any of the portable data communication devices using the same social network ID is not in the proximity of five meters, an alert is initiated to the other devices using the...
