Description

Disclosed is a method and system for enhancing security of existing CAPTCHA by displaying a scrambled form of Completely Automated Public Turing Test to tell Computers and Humans Apart (CAPTCHA).  The method and system enables a user to drag and drop each letter of the CAPTCHA rather than typing it.  During each drag and drop operation of CAPTCHA letter, a new letter is injected in place of the selected letter.  After each drag and drop the CAPCTHA letters are randomly shuffled.   The injection of new letter ensures that the number of letters remain constant when displayed to the user.

For the purpose of decoding the CAPTCHA, the method and system utilizes n inputs for analysis of letters and compares the n inputs, n number of times with the original letters in the CAPTCHA.  Here, a linear time function, such as, O(n2) algorithm is used for comparing every letter of the CAPTCHA with every other letter.  The time that is taken to run the algorithm increases in direct proportion to the number of input letters.  Displayed output CAPTCHA is scrambled and varies from the original input CAPTCHA and the...
