Abstract

A program is disclosed by which, there will be two types of scrollbar together. The main scrollbar will be vertical and/or horizontal scrollbar. In this case user will move his finger straight and another will be radial scroll bar, for radial scrollbar user will move his finger in radial direction to scroll a page. Once any search result is displayed, user can tap the search result and accordingly nested radial scrollbar will appear. User can rotate the radial scrollbar to navigate the selected URL. When user performs straight movement then page will be moved up or down, So, based on type of finger movement (Radial or straight ) appropriate scroll menu will be appeared. User can also perform nested scrolling without a radial scroll; in this case user will use 1 finger straight scroll for movement in the primary screen, and 2 finger straight scroll for movement in the secondary screen.

Method and system for nested scroll bar in touch screen enabled device during internet search
Navigating search results in a smaller screen is bit uncomfortable. In this case, a user has an option to open any search URL in another tab or in the same window, so the user has to go to multiple tabs to read the search results. Following diagram (Figure 1) talks about how a user can open any URL in different tabs of browser.

Thus, there has to be a mechanism by which the user can navigate the search results in a user friendly manner.

Following diagram (Figure 2) talks about finger movement, radial and straight scroll bar.

Following diagram (Figure 3) talks about how the user can navigate the search results URL with nested radial scrollbar. Based on user's finger movement pattern the invention will identify which scrollbar is to be selected. The radial scrollbar is nested, so intermediated scrolling (e.g. Search result page) will be done by nested radial scrollbar.

2. Based on type of finger movement pattern appropriate scroll functionality will appear 3. The radial scrollbar is nested, the intermediate scrolling will be performed with nested scrollbar.

4. In this case intermediate scroll is opening search results, so once a user starts rotating his finger, search result...
