Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for allowing a customer to shop physically at a retail store and get products delivered through an associated e-commerce platform avoiding hassles such as carrying shopping bags and paying cash to the retail store.  The method and system allows the customer to scan a QR code on the back of the product through a mobile application and confirm the order.  The e-commerce platform retrieves the order and payment details through the mobile application and delivers the order to the customer in a short time.

The system and method disclosed herein allows customers to shop physically at a retail store and get the products delivered through an associated e-commerce platform avoiding hassles such as carrying shopping bags and paying cash to the retail store.

In accordance with the method and system disclosed herein, the customer installs a mobile application on a mobile phone and gets registered by providing details such as delivery address and credit card details.  The mobile application completes the customer registration in accordance with the details provided by the customer.

Thereafter, when the customer visits a retail store and wants to buy some product of convenience, he/she simply scans the QR/bar code provided on the back of the product and completes the order by pressing “confirm order” on the mobile application.  The e-commerce platform simply retrieves the order details and delivers...
