Disclosed is a method for filtering and refining video advertisements by collecting data related to the video advertisements from users viewing the video advertisements.  The collection of data includes collecting data regarding the video advertisements such as one or more of, but not limited to, duration of the advertisements, percentage of video advertisements that have been viewed by the user, total time of the video advertisements that have been viewed, and monitoring user interactions with the video advertisement.

In accordance with the method, events sent by a browser of a user while watching a video advertisement is tracked as illustrated in the Figure.
