A method and system is disclosed for displaying a personalized advertisement containing user content to a user. Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for displaying a personalized advertisement containing user content to a user.  At the time of rendering, the method and system creates the personalized advertisement using user content such as, but not limited to, images, audios, and videos gathered from one or more sources such as social networks, blogs etc.  The method and system thus enables enhancing relevance of an advertisement shown to the user by displaying user content such as a video of the user, as opposed to, a video of an unknown person.

Description

Disclosed is a method and system for displaying a personalized advertisement containing user content to a user.  The user content can include one or more of, a picture associated with the user, a video associated with the user, an audio recording associated with the user, a text authored by the user and an audio in a native tongue of the user.

The method and system includes identifying a user interest based on analyzing information associated with the user such as images, videos, a user height and a user weight.  The method and system further includes identifying an advertiser providing advertisements for a product related to the user interest.

Thereafter, the method and system checks if the advertiser has consented for displaying personalized advertisements.  If the advertiser has provided consent for providing personalized advertisements, the method and system builds a structure for the personalized advertisement to be rendered to different users.  The method and system sets the focus of the personalized advertisement based on the product identified.  The structure of the personalized advertisement further includes one or more replaceable components such as, but not limited to, an audio content, a video component and a text component.  Subsequent to building the structure, the method and system stores the structure of the personalized advertisement in an ad server.

The method and system further includes creating a personalized hash list using gathered user content.  User content can be gathered from a source such as, but not limited to, a social networking website.  The personalized hash list can be one or more of, a user personalized hash list (UPH) and an Internet Protocol (IP) address hash list.  In an insta...
