Abstract

Vistamaxx Propylene-based Elastomers (PBE) are semicrystalline copolymers of propylene and ethylene. Produced using proprietary metallocene catalyst technology, Vistamaxx PBE have a unique and uniform inter- and intramolecular composition and crystallinity distribution. Vistamaxx PBE with low ethylene content enables a distinct ability to improve key properties in several film applications, such as sealing and toughness performance in cast polypropylene (cPP) and bi-oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films, puncture resistance and stretchability as functional layer of a stretch film, or adhesion to polypropylene (PP) and sealing performance in Extrusion Coating onto PP woven sacks. Described herein is the use of low C2 Vistamaxx PBE for various film applications.
