Disclosed is a method and system for maintaining uniform electroless plating by using a thief, which provides mechanical rigidity and acts as a universal carrier. The thief used in accordance with the method and system is positioned around a part of a frame used for computer applications. The thief positioned here provides an enhanced mechanical stability for the parts by themselves and lead to less susceptibility to defects.

In an exemplary aspect with the system disclosed herein, the thief can be positioned around a part through a foil and an adhesive.

In another exemplary aspect with the system disclosed herein, the thief can be positioned around a part by using pins on a spring to pull the part and thief or push the pin towards the part.

In yet another exemplary aspect with the system disclosed herein, the thief can be positioned around a part by compressing the part by screws.

Still another exemplary aspect with the system disclosed herein, the thief can be positioned around a part by the cutting of an angled wall of a frame and positioning the part in a small cavity.

Yet another exemplary aspect with the system disclosed herein, the thief can be positioned around a part by using small fingers on bottom of a tool or by using a two part or three part thief that clamps together over the part.
