Method and System for Displaying Fake/Phony Messages for Instant Messaging on Smart phones

Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for displaying one or more fake/phony intellectual messages in place of one or more original instant messages received on a smart phone.  The method and system displays the one or more fake/phony intellectual messages after detecting a predetermined finger pressing pattern of a user on the smart phone screen, thereby preventing fraudulent access to important messages.

Description

Instant messaging has become a part of a person’s everyday life.  A person cannot avoid receiving message from contacts whose message content may not be appropriate to be disclosed to people such as, but not limited to, the person’s spouse, the person’s children, the person’s parents and the person’s colleagues.  In many cases, it is also not easy for the person to hide the messages from people sitting by the side.  Thus, in general, the person is not able to safeguard the received messages from being read under certain scenarios such as, but not limited to,

  • If the message appears as a pop-up message when other people are nearby.
  • If the person’s phone is with people who know the password for unlocking the phone.

A method and system is disclosed for displaying one or more fake/phony intellectual messages in place of one or more original instant messages on a smart phone.

The method and system allows a user of the smart phone to select one or more fake message contacts.  Examples of the one or more fake message contacts can be, but not limited to, persons in a contact list of the smart phone of the user.  Thereafter, when the one or more original instant messages are received by at least one of the one or more fake message contacts, the method and system displays the one or more fake/phony intellectual messages on the smart phone instead of the one or more original instant messages.

The method and system displays the one or more fake/phony intellectual messages after detecting a predetermined finger pressing pattern of the user on the smart phone screen.  The method and system identifies the predetermined finger pressing pattern of the user based on one of a location of the finger on the smart phone screen and identifying matching fingerprints.
