Smart mobile phones consume battery a lot comparing to the old common mobile phone. Users need to charge the battery every one or two days for smart mobile phones especially if users use smart functions frequently, such as web browsing. The basic phone functions, such as phone calling and messages, are impacted when the battery is empty. How to keep long power-on time for basic phone functions and how to make sure the basic phone power-on time is not impacted by the smart functions are more and more important especially in some emergency cases.

There are smart phones with dual batteries, the phone system will switch to another battery if the battery is empty. The phone usage time can be doubled logically with this solution.
Another solution is to have 2 phone systems, one system is for all functions, and the other system is for the basic function. Once the battery usage is up to a pre-defined thresholds, the basic function system will be loaded to replace the previous system. The smart functions can not be used. The basic function power-on time can be longer with this solution, but the smart phone function is forced to shut down.
Smart function usage and the phone usage will impact alternatively in both the known solutions. This solution is to make the basic phone power-on timer just as the old common phone, and smart functions will not be impacted.
The smart mobile phones use dual batteries. There is a system which can separate the basic phone functions and smart phone functions. The basic phone functions are using the one battery, and the smart phone functions are using the other battery. Basic phone functions and smart phone functions can be separated by standard. On smart phone, the basic phone functions are managed by BP(board), and smart phone functions are managed by AP(application).
