Method and System for Arranging Meetings based on Intersecting Interests and Calendars

Generally, calendar planning is largely done through personal initiative and planning. However, there are times when there is an opportunity to have a face to face interaction between two individuals but does not happen because of non-planning. For example, person A lives in bay area, and a school friend of person A happens to be visiting that area. Sometimes, the two friends may plan a meeting, but this takes personal initiative, with either side reaching out to the other. Taking another case, where a

professional with certain skills may be required by a recruiter. However, there may be no information to make the recruiter and the professional meet each other face to face. Similarly, calendar and contacts of other users are scanned and identified. Also, preferences of the other users are taken into account. Thereafter, calendars of the plurality of users are monitored to determine events or locations where both users of the plurality of users are attending.

The meeting may be arranged according to one or more protocols. The one or more protocols may include one or more of, but not limited to, meeting invites from one user to another, a filter for such meeting invites, the number of times a confirmation for a meeting invite is required to be sent to a user and displaying an amount of information pertaining to profile a user during sending a meeting invite. Additionally, the protocols may include rules that specify about how a meeting invite should be sent. For example, if an initiative for a meeting comes from a user X to meet user Y, then an email will be sent to user Y asking for permission to setup a meeting. Further, the user Y may define protocols which may predefine conditions about setting up meetings...
