Abstract

More and more office sites require telephone conference call to connect for daily business. However, while using a public phone in a big meeting room, it is difficult to hear some persons clearly, who are seating far away from phone. Limited quantity of microphones are hard to transfer one by one easily. Besides, it is difficult for online to identify who is speaking in meeting room. In this disclosure, a novel method is proposed to leverage such condition of telephone conference(within a big room). It extends one single telephone with a group of mobile clients, such as laptop computers, mobile phones, smart watches and other wearable devices. Management of voice collection is involved to coordinate receiving so as to improve quality. Also, extensible APIs for each device could support more high level applications, like sign-on attendance, speaker info obtainment and so on. Details are in next section.

A Method to leverage big room tele-

Telephone conference call brings great convenience to daily job communication. With telephone, conference can be held on the line instead of face to face. Each participant just needs to pick up self telephone and dial in an existing meeting ID to join. However, if too many people share a phone client in a big meeting room, quality of conference would be brought down. Person who sits far away from telephone would be difficult to put his voice into microphone clearly. Besides, limited quantity of microphones are hard to transfer one by one easily.

In this disclosure, a novel method is proposed to leverage such condition of telephone conference(within a big room). It extends one single telephone with a group of mobile clients, such as laptop computers, mobile phones, smart watches and other wearable devices. Prior Arts:

1) Some smart phones or Bluetooth headsets can act as speaker/microphones of a computer.

Existing method only focus on voice extension between two devices, like between headset and phone. In this disclosure, there are two new points: One is to extension between lots of devices. Like between one telephone and lots of mobile phones/laptops at the same time. It also provides coordination among there peers. Another difference is to use extended devices to realize more functions, such as status feedback, identification, search info and others.
