Abstract:
As shown in Figs. 1-4, a cover, or "flip guard", is provided for an auger/conveyor and hopper arrangement, such as an agricultural product conveyor with a pivotally attached, low profile hopper.

The low profile hopper is pivotally connected to an auger/conveyor at a hopper hinge axis. The hopper is rotated about the hopper hinge axis when it is desired to change the hopper position between a deployed position and a stowed position.

As a means by which to attach the cover, the framework of the hopper contains brackets that support two guide rails.

The cover arrangement is pivotally connected to the auger/conveyor at the cover hinge axis. In addition, the cover contains two C-shaped hangers that engage with the two guide rails to maintain a connection to the low profile hopper.

As the hopper is rotated, the hangers slide along the guide rails. The contour and configuration of the guid...
