Abstract

When sandscreen run down hole, control line or fiber optic control need to be tight and secure from damaged or loosen. This is a method to secure the control line or Fiber Optic Line in side the protective area. This is simple and easy to manufacture. The challenge on this method is to determine strength of the welds and material section that suitable for each application These are a series of metal plates, tube, and angle that bend into shape that use to protect Control Line down hole. It is welded onto the OD of the Shroud or OD of the pipe. When the sand screen run down hole with Control Line or Fiber Optic Line, it needs to be protected from damaged such as cutting, abrassion against ID of casing or formation on the open hole well. This method allows the operator to put in the control line at the same time the sand screen run into the well. When the control line presses against the slot, the slot will open bigger allows the control line to fit into it groove (Control Line Holder). The slot will closed smaller after the control line fit into its groove (spring deflection method). The force of the open and closed control line can be adjust by lengthen or shorten the Deflection Plate. The Cable seat also can be adjust by increase the bending of the Deflection Plate
