Traditional device displays are rigid and provide a two-dimensional (2D) form for control of objects with touch or other controls.

Disclosed is a method and system for moving objects in three-dimensional (3D) space
in a flexible display device. The method and system controls movement of objects in the flexible display device using a jerk force. With quick jerk force on the flexible device, a user can move objects in 3D space. The jerk force can be a bending stress. The jerk force can be created by creating bend in flexible device, by creating impact at the bottom or by shaking the entire device. The direction of movement of the objects is dependent on the direction of the jerk force. The direction can be one or more of, but not limited to, angular, parabolic and vertical. The displacement of the object is also dependent on the amount of the jerk force. The movement and displacement of the objects can be controlled based on property of the object. The object property can be dimension and shape of the object. The functionality of the method and system can be used within applications of flexible display devices such as games for control of objects.

In one implementation, the method and system uses a sensor installed in the flexible display device to track the bending stress and rate of change in bending stress. The

jerk force to bend a specific position or location of the flexible device is used to control or move objects and show the movement in 3D visualization. Further, the method and system enables movement of objects in a specific direction based on the direction of the

jerk force due to bending relative to the position of the object in the flexible device display. The movement of object is enabled by calculating movement pattern based on the dimension of the object. The amount of force is applied in each object and in direction of the applied force. The method and system determines the amount of distance that the objects travel based on the amount of jerk force which is bending relative to the position of the object in the flexible device display.
