Abstract

Currently there exist mobile phones with more than one SIM card allowing to call using different GSM network operators. Also with roaming service there is often possibility to choose from several operators. Unfortunately, in such cases user has no possibility of understanding using which operator will be cheapest and often chooses the operator randomly. In the disclosure we propose an algorithm working purely on mobile device side to suggest an operator (from available ones) using which will be cheapest in given situation. The situation means given time, location and available operators. We also suggest how to gather the statistics allowing accurate assessment.

Currently there exist mobile phones with more than one SIM card allowing to call using different GSM network operators. The disclosed solution consists of the following elements:
User is given an application that implements an algorithm analyzing phone calls

billings to determine optimal operator to be used in given situation
User is able to import billings to the application obtained from any source. Typically

these will be billings provided to the user periodically by operator(s), but it will be also possible to import billings from different users (for example using blue-tooth for simplicity) to differentiate the statistical data.
