A method and system is disclosed for providing instant map directions on a mobile device along with results of a web search.  The method and system provides a user of the mobile device with a real-time Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) map associated with turn-by-turn directions along with a website of a local business when the user searches online for the local business.

Description

Disclosed is a method and system for providing instant map directions on a mobile device along with results of a web search.  The method and system provides a user of the mobile device with a real-time Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) map associated with turn-by-turn directions along with a website of a local business when the user searches online for the local business.

In accordance with the method and system, a user may be presented with a real time GPS map associated with turn-by-turn directions displayed along with contents of a local business that the user has searched for.  The local business may be one or more of, but not limited to, a restaurant, a grocery shop, a shopping mall, a company, a college and a library. 

In an exemplary embodiment, when the user searches for the local business, information about the local business and reviews about the local business may be displayed on a single webpage along with the real-time GPS map.  The real-time GPS map along with contents of the local business is displayed on a single web page as illustrated in the Figure.
