Abstract

In test development and maintenance phases, such as UT (Unit test), IT (Integration Test), some part of ST (System Test) and maintenance phases, expensive H/W componets (CPU, memory, disk, etc), which are positioned by the expensive flagship machine with high cost, high availablity and high reliability are not required, because the aiming of the target tests are checking the program logic, interface and DB contents. If the expensive high cost H/W can be set to low cost H/W without losing high availablity and high reliability and the simulation can be carried out by software at low cost, the cost can be dramatically reduced. This idea is to reduce the project cost, especially the cost of H/W and man power sharply, while it aims at reducing project risk factors sharply by seamless low cost machine environment which makes shift machine environment and man power in each phase. The key point of this model is to view the life cycle of system within UT, IT, ST, maintenance phases.
