A system and method that determines the placement of clipboard text based on the context of the text copied compared to the source and destination of the clipboard text is disclosed. Disclosed is a system and method that determines the placement of clipboard text based on the context of the text copied compared to the source and destination of the clipboard text. The text is intelligently and dynamically merged when pasted into different/multiple fields/areas of existing text based on the context evaluation performed.

The following workflow provides an example for how this could be accomplished:

User selects text that is concurrent or non-concurrent and copies it to his/her clipboard. Source document of clipboard text, along with the clipboard text itself is analyzed by the Contextual Clipboard Cloud for the following:

Organizational Rules (Confidentiality, Ownership, etc.) - Predefined Rules and preferences for how the dynamic paste would be implemented
Historical Content - Index of similar/related content, which could be used for evaluation of context and determining the best placement for non-concurrent paste in targeted document
Writing Styles - Index of past content that the document author has written/produced to determine dynamic placement that would match the authors writing style.

User identifies a destination for the clipboard text.

Destination document of clipboard text is analyzed by the Contextual Clipboard Cloud for the following:

    Organizational Rules (Confidentiality, Ownership, etc.) - Predefined Rules and preferences for how the dynamic paste would be implemented
Historical Content - Index of similar/related content, which could be used for evaluation of context and determining the best placement for non-concurrent paste in targeted document
Writing Styles - Index of past content that the document author has written/produced to determine dynamic placement that would match the authors writing style
Based on the Contextual Clipboard Cloud's analysis, the Processing Engine pastes clipboard text into destination document based on context, concurrently or non-concurrently.

Artificial Intelligence provides confidence ranking within the user interface (UI) as to the whether or not the merged text is a good fit for the determined placement(s)

Example: UI could show color coded indication as to the % of confidence that the pasted text fits the context for where it has been dynamically been placed. i.e. Red text = <30% confidence, Yellow text = 31-70% confidence, Green text = 71-100% confidence.

Learning Engine monitors user activity and changes, which are fed back into the Contextual Clipboard Cloud content repositories.

It enables users to paste concurrent or non-concurrent text based on the context of the source, destination and copy/pasted text, resulting in more accurate documents and increased productivity.

Example 1: A student copies the sixth amendment of the Bill or Rights to his/her clipboard and pastes the content into a document that contains the Constitution. Using the Contextual Clipboard Cloud, the Cloud recognizes the text through the Historical Content reposit...
