Email has become an important part of today's information economy. An individuals are constantly bombarded with tens, if not hundreds, of emails every day, that makes it not easy to avoid sending/forwarding confidential or sensitive content to inappropriate receivers. Existing solution provides some options to help users make decisions, such as shows the importance of a mail or checks blacklist before user hits "Send". There also are some cases we need to avoid sending email to not only users in the blacklist, but those who frequently interact with blacklist users. That makes it not easy to detect with current art.
In summary, there are the following drawback in present solution:
1. Shows only the importance of a mail to help user determine his/her action.
2. User needs to manually generate the black list.
3. Reveal the relationship based on only sender and receiver. Does not include the information from social network.
Mails could be forwarded to another person that your may not want them to receive. The invention leverages the social networking information to extend the email security mechanism. The invention avoids confidential mails been forward improperly.
