Disclosed is a method and system for enhancing security level of confidential content based on a configuration of a stylus. The method and system tracks the configuration of the stylus and the configuration can depend on the configuration of the stylus pen head or a button attached directly to the pen. The method and system enables a user to mark multiple sections on a document of a touch screen device as confidential using the configuration of the stylus.

In an implementation, the method and system uses software installed on a touch screen to track holding pattern of the stylus. The figure illustrates a holding pattern of the stylus.

As illustrated in the Figure, when a stylus head is facing upward, the user can write normally. However, when the stylus head is facing downward, the user can write confidential content. By changing the holding pattern of the stylus, the user can write confidential content on a document of a touch screen device. Thus, the method and system enables mapping of the stylus holding pattern and confidential functionality. The stylus configuration is read by the touch screen device to determine the confidentiality. For example, if the user changes the holding pattern of the stylus while writing confidential content, the content written with the changed holding pattern of the stylus
by the user is marked confidential.
