Abstract

Our invention provides system and method for secure PIN input by combining wearable device vibrating/screen shown method, to enhance security on devices using a touch screen, such as smart phones, tablet computers, ATM Screen that might be able to be compromised due to observation or some way to record keystrokes made on a such a device. This design will allow the user to memorize their password more easily as it can be actually shorter but by algorithm result in many more keystrokes by using a pre-configured sequence.

Over the years, mobile devices and wearable devices such as smart mobile phone and wearable watch have become widespread and very popular due to their many benefits and advantages. They offer an easy and convenient way to access the Internet, utilize thousands of applications and perform many complicated functions such as online banking and online purchasing. Many of these actions, including unlocking a device to begin using it, require the entry of a preset numeric password or PIN (personal ID number) in order to protect the device user's personal information, credit card and bank account information. Other touch screen devices, such as tablet computers and ATMsoffer the ability to access similar capabilities. Unfortunately often times these entry devices or keypads are used in public places, requiring the user to try to hide from an unknown observer the input of their unique password or PIN from observation as it entered in order to protect the user's PIN and therefore their identity, account information, etc., from anyone who would use it nefariously and/or illegally.

With the growing popularity of a mobile device which stores so much private and sensitive data such as bank account numbers, credit card numbers, confidential email, phone numbers and addresses, people have grown more and more concerned about security. Password security and the risk of a password being stolen simply by observation of keystrokes or hidden recording devices (such as cameras) are foremost among these concerns as loss of a password can result in all device data being compromised. This design will resolve these issues for password entry on a touch screen device such as a Smartphone, tablet computer or ATM screenthat combine wearable and mobile device to make it very difficult to compromise a numeric password or PIN simply by observation.

with a wireless link, such as bluetooth.

(2) The present disclosure generally relates to systems and methods for providing wearable device shaking/screen shown method to enhance security on devices using a touch screen, such as smart phones, tablet computers, ATM Screen that might be able to be compromised due to observation or some way to record keystrokes made on a such a device.

(3) The password/PIN input method described addresses the issue of an onlooker discovering your PIN/password by observation. The actual PIN/password still has to be kept secret.
