Social networking websites enable a user to share photographs with connections/friends of the user. The user may do modifications such as adding horns , drawing lines, writing on the photographs. Additionally, the user may set an expiry time for each photograph depending on calculated visual literacy of recipients /friends. The term "Visual literacy" can be defined as an ability to interpret, negotiate, and make meaning from information presented in the form of an image . In many cases, an expiry time set by a user may cause inconvenience to one or more recipients . For example, if a recipient views the photographs while driving or during working hours, the recipient may not understand the photographs. But to an expiry time set for the photographs, the user may not be able to access the photographs again .

Similarly, if a recipient is color blind or visually challenged, corrections are made on an image such as changes in color so that the content is understood by the recipient within the set expiry time. A current state/location of a recipient is identified by using Global Positioning System (GPS) or from social media habits or a calendar. In addition, the method and system also identifies browsing patterns of a recipient and time taken by the recipient to like, comment or respond to any content. The method and system identifies the tendency of a recipient to respond /comment over a photograph which contains the recipient in the photographs as compared to a photograph containing 3rd parties. Accordingly, the photograph is edited for focus or individuals in the photograph are tagged or highlighted.
The method and system modifies the content by keeping track of effects that are added or deleted. A combination of multiple effects reduces or increases complexity of the content. The method and system introduces or deletes changes in the content to enable a recipient to easily understand the origin...
