A Method and System for Maintaining Equilibrium between Storage Systems in an Organization

Generally, storage management applications in organization may not provide policies to control performance or capacity of storage systems. The storage management applications may not calculate trends and forecast performance or capacity related to the storage systems or a combination of both to solve the imbalance between the storage systems.

Disclosed is a method and system for maintaining equilibrium between storage systems in an organization. The method and system collects trending and forecast information regarding capacity and performance of the storage systems. The method and system provides an ability to configure policy controls for a site, multiple storage systems or at least one storage system related to capacity and performance of an organization.
