Abstract

Smart devices more and more play an important role in our daily life. And the same time, the touch screen has become standard equipment to smart devices and provides powerful and smooth operation capabilities for user to fire complex actions. However, with the functionalities of application increasingly complicated, more layout space is occupied by the more appearing UI components and the process steps of firing one function become more and more. Application UI layout becoming complicated is not good user experiences. In this invention, we present a method to detect the different shapes drawn by user and translate the identified ones to hotspots which become containers to load and host the corresponding specified UI components to complete related functions and scenarios.

Here is the steps how this invention works:

A specified shape drawn by user on the screen will be detected and transform to a function trigger event and passed to application .

The corresponding UI component with the shape will initialized and displayed in the specified hotspot area .

The hotspot area can be easily adjusted by draw extended shape based on the existing hotspot .
