Abstract

The disclosure introduces a method to dynamically and self-adaptively adjust the reponse region of UI elements by analyzing user's behavior and icon's attribute. It helps to resolve the problem that the small icons are difficult to press on mobile devices and would not introduce the UI experience problem.

This invention solves the problem that users cannot locate and press the small icons easily and precisely, especially in multi-touching mobile devices.

Multi-touching mobile devices are becoming smaller and lighter, so the size of screens is limited. Users always find it difficult to locate and press the small icons on screen. Some time users have to try several times to hit the target icon. Especially for those big fingertip guys, the tiny icon is a big headache since the fingertip is always likely to obscure other contents on the screen.

Adjust the size of icons according to touching size of users' finger. If the average area is larger than the setting value, icons enlarge and re-arrange.

Drawbacks:

1 The size of response region remains unchanged, users still can not hit the icon precisely.

The enlarged icons take up much space, so other icons can not be shown in UI

Divide the response region into several regions, and each region corresponds to one start scheme. If the common region is touched, a selection interface pops up.

Drawbacks:

2 The original response region becomes much smaller. It is harder for users to hit the icon s precisely.


The pop-up interface takes up much space, which will cover UI.

In our method, the response region of the UT element can be dynamically amplified so that the users can operate the small UI elements easily and precisely.

Analyze the behavior of users, the clicking frequency and the type of the UI elements to predict the user's future operation.
