Abstract

Electronic boxes used in cars use usually only few different designs per car line to limit the cost. On the other hand a verity of features that can be implemented what require a variety of connection opportunities. That leads to the problem that some cavities may be not occupied by a terminal when the harness and electronic box are connected. Figure 1 shows a cut view of a some cavities 2 of an electronic box 1.The open cavity can be accidently penetrated by small metal parts 3 that can cause damage when connecting parts with different voltage. To prevent this usually rubber plugs are used to close this open cavities. This rubber plugs have disadvantages they have to be provided in production and can get lost while live time. To overcome the disadvantages a solution is suggested as shown in Figure 2. The cavities of the boxes that are not always occupied by a terminal have a removable shutter 4. The shutter will be produced at the same time as the box in an injection molding process. That means that the shutter is a part of the box. If the cavity will be used while assembly the shutter can be removed by a tool. The shutter 4 has thin connection parts 5 that connect it to the inner walls of the cavity. To remove the shutter the connection parts 5 have to be broken and the shutter has to be pulled out of the cavity.

Description of the invention
