Abstract

When we use social media or news feeds to refresh the information on mobile devices, we move up the information piece by piece, from new to old. During our reading, if there is new information comes, we need to jump back to the top of the information stream to read the new information. Even worse, after reading the new information, we have to move up the information piece by piece again to get back to the position where we just stoped. This invention is inspired of ferris wheel and is best suit for information that can be loaded from bi-directions.

Problem:


We are likely to use social media or news feeds everyday where information is refreshed all the time. We use these tools to share news, photos, experiences, happiness, etc. with others. When we enter the social media or news feeds tool, we would move up the information piece by piece, from new to old. During our reading, if there is new information comes, we need to jump to the top of the information stream to check the new information or we need to move down the read information piece by piece to get back to the top of the information stream. Even worse, after we finish reading the new coming information, we have to, again, move up the information piece by piece to locate the original place where we are before we jump to the new information. Although some tools provide the function of jumping to the top of the information stream with a single button, we still have to find the original place by ourselves.

This invention is inspired of ferris wheel and is best suit for information that can be loaded from bi -directions:

Information that is loaded but unread, no matter new or old, is listed in a buffer area;

New information and old information that is unread is waiting in separate queues and can be loaded to the buffer area at any time separately;

All information that is read runs into the virtual ferris wheel with new and old information running into different directions.

Therefore, information in the virtual ferris wheel is arranged in time order just like before.

Fig 1. When the user starts to read information, the latest information is loaded and is listed in anticlockwise order.

Fig 2.The user starts to read the information and moves up the information that is read . The read information runs into the virtual ferris wheel and is ordered by time.
