Disclosed is a method and system for previewing of pages in a table of contents.

Some devices that provide support to read a book also provide a table of contents for the book. The user may be interested in a preview of sections identified in the table of contents. The following features are disclosed:

While looking at the table of contents, the user can find the preview of appropriate pages by hovering the mouse over the topic name.

User can provide recommendations on one or more pages and can view comments at the page level.

User can enlarge the size of the preview based on the user's requirements.

The Figure below depicts an example embodiment. Upon selecting any topic from the table of contents, the user can view the preview of the topic in circular orientation. With finger gestures, the user can rotate and can view the pages in detail. The user can also view the recommendation, of the page ( not shown in the diagram). The user can view the topic in a high level format.
