This discharge nozzle is a weldment consisting of rolled sheet, plate, a flange, and 3D cut pipe which when joined together form the exit for high velocity degassed mud leaving the centrifugal degasser. The configuration increases the exit area which leads to increased flow rate capacity as compared to the existing degasser. The degassers are recirculating degassers, so the increase in flow rate will result in increased recovery of mud weight (degassing) in a closed system.
