Abstract

Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for displaying advertisements (ads) in streamlining media content.  The method and system leverages the three dimensional (3D) presentation spaces for displaying one or more ads.  The method and system rotates (or tilts) the streaming media content along an axis by a considerably small percentage and uses the resultant space created due to the rotation/tilt for serving one or more ads that may be contextually relevant to the content being streamed.  

Description

Disclosed is a method and system for displaying ads in streaming media content.  The ads can be display ads that are generally overlaid over streaming media content.  Further, the streaming media content can be, but need not be limited to, video, flash, presentations and multimedia content. 

As shown in fig. 1, streaming media content such as a video is tilted along the Y-axis in a 3D space by a considerably small percentage such as, but not limited to, around 15 degrees.

The 3D space created as a result of the tilt is used for serving one or more ads.  Further, the ads can be shown at a resolution such as 300x250 as illustrated in Fig. 1.

Fig. 2 illustrates a flow diagram of rendering ads in accordance with an embodiment of the method disclosed herein.
