Ingredients lists put on food or cosmetics are sometimes hard to analyze. If there are ingredients you avoid (e.g. due to allergy) or want to be on the list (e.g. due diet) you need to read and analyze the list to make sure it meets your requirements. Having the ingredients encoded into a QR code and scanning it while shopping would let even an offline application to make this analysis for you.

Cosmetics' or food ingredients placed in a form of QR code enables born of a huge amount of 'analyze ingredients' applications. Software vendors can concentrate on analyzing the product ingredients according to customer preferences instead of maintaining a products' database. Since QR code would be placed by producers they are always up to date. Internet connection is not required. People with disabilities can rely on QR code analyze instead of reading small labels.

Same ingredients can be coded in different way (E410 = Locust Bean Gum) or written in unknown language (while e.g. being abroad) and without external analyze the consumer may make a choice that does not meet individuals requirements. QR code

with ingredients would enable quick database record creating / updating if such a requirement - no manual retyping.
