Method and System for Documenting Program Logic within an Application Source Code

Usually, software developers write source code primarily in a text/markup language and use a same or similar method to document program logic and working of program within an application source code. Existing methods for documenting program logic and working of program may be considered tedious for developers. Further, for individuals responsible for debugging, supporting an application source code or using an application, the existing methods may be considered as time consuming and inefficient.

Disclosed is a method and system for documenting program logic within an application source code. The program logic is documented using, but not limited to multimedia as illustrated in Figure 1 unlike the existing methods.

Figure 1

In accordance with method disclosed herein, a multimedia documenting mode provides an efficient approach for documenting program logic within an application source code. The method and system improves troubleshooting techniques by providing an option for toggling the multimedia on/off during run-time so as to indicate how the application source code performs. The multimedia documenting effectively explains how the application source code performs at various steps/stages in a run-cycle.

Figure 2 illustrates various scenarios depicting usage of multimedia mode for documenting program logic in an application source code of an application and as well
