Abstract

CallistoUX (pronounced: Callisto User Experience) is a web application that goes beyond the typical dashboard to empower users to quickly find, interpret, respond to, and share important utility system data. Callisto unifies all of the information across multiple applications (i.e., AMI, MDM, OMS, etc.) into a single Work Area. This invention will address the inner working of workflows within CallistoUx and 2 key concepts: Trigger & Receiver Page & Parameter Dictionary

Background:

CallistoUX (pronounced: Callisto User Experience) is a web application that goes beyond the typical dashboard to empower users to quickly find, interpret, respond to, and share important utility system data.  Callisto unifies all of the information across multiple applications (i.e., AMI, MDM, OMS, etc.) into a single Work Area.

This invention will address the inner working of workflows within CallistoUx and 2 key concepts:

Trigger & Receiver Page &  Parameter Dictionary

Description:

CallistoUX (pronounced: Callisto User Experience) is a web application that goes beyond the typical dashboard to empower users to quickly find, interpret, respond to, and share important utility system data.  Callisto unifies all of the information across multiple applications (i.e., AMI, MDM, OMS, etc.) into a single Work Area.  Navigation is seamless.  Users can literally glide through multiple systems and feature sets using Carousel, Workflows and sandbox components.

This invention deals with the CallistoUx portion of Workflows and how CallistoUx Workflows can be made smarter. CallistoUx is a web based application – the strategy here would be to build relationships between disparate web applications by mapping common fields between these web applications. Even if these applications were built completely independently of one another, nothing prevents one from connecting the dots between 2 separate applications by finding something in common between them. For example, in most AMI systems, data is driven by the device and it’s unique ID.

Two Key concepts are introduced: Trigger & Receiver PageParameter Dictionary

Trigger & Receiver Page

In the Trigger & Receiver mechanism, similar to any parent/child relationship, all pages must be related in some way shape or form at a 1-1 relationship at the very least. To do so, our Callisto Smart Workflow engine will let the user designate target fields and their respective target pages. Every “Trigger Page” must have at the very least 1 targeted “Receiver Page”.

So let’s take this “Device ID” concept and bring it ac...
