Safety hazards in the environment are not always obvious, and minor hazards from many sources can aggregate to create a situation more dangerous than it appears. For example, a road intersection that frequently has accidents. In addition, dynamic changes in the environment can quickly change the danger level. For example, an unexpected storm may create tornadoes in the area. In another example, the user's heart rate may be too high for a known heart condition.

State of the art in this area generally solves the problem using specific devices for specific hazards . For example, a weather radio for weather-related hazards or an air sensor for pollutant-related hazards. Users interested in personal safety cannot feasibly carry a large number of indicators , would not know which indicators to bring anyway, and these devices generally do not make good use of internet-enabled alerts. Also users would only want to be notified when a situation becomes dangerous, rather than through continual monitoring.

The disclosed invention describes a single device that aggregates personalized safety information from local and internet-enabled sensors in real time, and alerts the user when personal danger crosses a threshold.

Main system steps:

User installs an aggregator application on their mobile device , or wears a customized device for the same purpose


System tracks detailed user location System queries internet sensors to determine real-time and historical data for a variety of sources (see details section)
