Title: Automatic AB Line Generation
As described below, automatic A‐B guidance line generation for use with an agricultural field navigation
Typically, the operator of an agricultural machine must establish an A‐B guidance line with user initiated steps before using a guidance system in a field to be worked. And every new field to be worked may require the set‐up of a new A‐B line.
The automatic A‐B guidance line generation system of this disclosure uses an analysis of signals from sensors or operator actions to deduce when an agricultural machine is in a field and then automatically generates an A‐B guidance line based on that knowledge of the vehicle being in an operating field condition. This would not require an initial operator action to start and stop the process of establishing an A‐B guidance line.
With systems such as vision guidance and feeler guidance, and/or satellite navigation receivers, we now have the opportunity to intelligently know if we are actually operating within a field versus being on the road or doing other non‐productive work.
