Abstract

The method describles a way to implement real-time context search leveraging the collection of words typed in input method. Corpus obtained through input method will ensure the real-time requirement of the user. I t requires establishing a context content server at the server side for search engine which stores the content typed from input method at the client side. Search or analytics engine will analye the copus and extract the context . When user performs a search , the search engine will use the context and send the search result based on the context.

Below are the architecture to implement the method: The components in brown are the components related to key idea of this method. The components in blue are existing component in typical search engine.

The detailed steps to implement this method are:


1. Establishing a context server at the server side of a search engine. The context server will store context data typed in the input method.

2. Input method (client side) needs to connect to context server in advance.

3. User log in the input method.

4. The content typed by the user will be sent to context server periodically.

5. Context will be extracted by paring and analyzing the content in the context server. For example: {"animal"->"horse";"hero in ancient times"}. Search engine will accomplish this leveraging the existing parsing technology.

6. User launch web client of the search engine and perform a search.

7. Search engine will process the search request based on the context and send back the search result. For example: when user searches "precious horse", it will return search results in the context of animal, not in the context of a brand of a car.
