In order to connect to a conference call, usually one connects a conferencing phone number, however, a user may incur extra cost if the user doesn't connect to a conferencing phone number that is appropriate to a current location of the user . Currently, one or more mobile applications are used to make real -time connection to a conference call from a calendar application on a user's mobile . However, information in the calendar application may not have enough information required for establishing a connection or establishing a most cost effective connection to the conference call . The one or more mobile applications that help connecting to the conference call are not aware of the current location of the user and let the user pick one conferencing phone number from one or more options available to the user . Therefore, there are chances that the conferencing phone number selected by the user may not be appropriate as per the current location of the user.

Disclosed is a method and system for selecting location based conferencing phone number by tracking user's Global Positioning System (GPS) location.
