Abstract

This article provides the description of a miniaturized electric screwing tool with flexible, interchangeable and small tip allowing remote and quick screw/unscrew of small diameter pieces located in areas with restricted access. This material can be used in many areas. For example, this new tool allows for example to fix the connectors at the back of electronic equipment and more particularly those installed in an aircraft and difficult to access. The characteristics of the tool are the following:
- A tip with two flexible and rigid parts being able to screw the connectors;
- A motorized command handle.

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOOL

The invention relates to a miniaturized screwing tool for small diameter screw (approx 3mm/Souriau kind or another) comprising a tip provided with two parts: a flexible and a rigid ones. The flexible part of the tip aims at offering remote, easier and faster connection / disconnection of aircraft components located in areas difficult to access. This flexible part is able to bend if needed by the environment when accessing the screw. This flexible part has a length allowing the tool to operate in remote locations difficult to access. The tip also presents a rigid part, rigid enough to be able to fit with the screw and turn it when operated through an electric motorized command handle.
