Abstract

GIS/GPS technology have been developed and used widely. Geograph information, realtime traffic information are able to obtain. People alway pursue a better driving experience. They wouldn't like to wait traffic lights then restart. It takes an extra time and burns more gas. A tool is strongly needed to help people running their entire route without traffic light. But in real life, there is a problem exists that people need stop a car when meet a flashing red light even there is no car around, and then start it when the traffic light turns green. It's both oil-consuming and time-consuming. Though GPS navigation is popular, but it doesn't consider real-time traffic flow and traffic lights. The idea is to propose a method to recommend a green path for avoiding traffic lights, as well as optimum vehicle speed & oil consumption. It would applies better effect at non-traffic peek period.
