Cloud workload consoles are typically designed to manage all workload functions and a dashboard typically caters to a range of cloud users having different access roles. In most cases, dashboards are not aware of context in which a cloud user accesses

workloads. Therefore, there arises a need for a dashboard that is aware of different social context and is tailored towards individual user to optimize cloud activity.

Disclosed is a method and system for providing socially aware contextual cloud

workload console that enables a user to quickly identify next step to enhance workloads

or fix issues with the workloads. The method and system leverages log analytics to analyze workload deployment status or issues across the cloud at Platform-as-a-service (PAAS), Infrastructure-as-a-service (IAAS), virtualization, hardware levels and alerts a user of deployments that need attention through a welcome page in workload console.

As the user logs on to the welcome page, the system automatically aggregated all problem deployments that the user have access to in the welcome page. If the user is entitled to resolve the problematic deployment, the method and system suggests associated actions in the welcome page. If the issues are to be routed to other user, an appropriate contact is identified to address the workload deployment issue. The method and system assists the user to automatically establish communication channel upon user's approval to foster faster problem determination.

The method and system determines pattern, pattern deployments that are associated

with a user as patterns and pattern deployments contain associated user role based

permission to access patterns and pattern deployments similar to scripts and plugins. The method and system specifies communication method for each user/role. The method and system leverages a monitoring system to determine if there is any issue

with a given deployment and drills down to each of the details of issues, such as Virtual Machine (VM) issue, middleware role issue or an application specific issue.

A VM issue can be identified by a VM status within the deployment where a node-part activation status that is not displayed on a User Interface (UI) exists.
