Personal Addendum on Multi -

A method is needed to allow an email sender to include additional and supplemental notes (i.e. addendums) to selected recipients of a general email. A company president sending a broadcast email about policy change to the organization might choose to send additional comments as addendums to the managers expanding on the message . In another instance, an event organizer might send an event notice blast to an entire mailing list with specific instructions to various task leads regarding the remaining work prior to the event.

The novel contribution is an email function that enables an email user to maintain one context or stream of communication while attaching various addendums to select recipients. This prevents the sender from having to send multiple versions of a note and subsequently manage multiple threads of communication /emails regarding one topic.

To implement the functionality in a preferred embodiment :

1. The email sender

clicks (

clicking, etc.) the name of one or more general email recipient(s)

2. The email sender composes the addendum note 3. The email sender sends the general email along with the addendums 4. The system sends the general email to the entire group of recipients , and the addendum to only the intended recipients
